Below is a small selection of the commissions I have had since going independent:
- To review 32 County Councils’ and 33 London Borough Councils’ preferred waste management strategies and establish what stage of procurement each one was at.
- To ascertain perceived international best practice for setting up microfinance projects and to ascertain who was offering microfinance facilities in Zimbabwe and how they were operating
- Finding research partners abroad for a technical research company
- Researching business cases and contacts as background data for an author writing a Business English book
- Several benchmarking projects in a variety of industries, including finance, personal care and food, reviewing processes as well as products
- Finding best-fit suppliers (UK and abroad) for several clients producing new products
- Reviewing an industry’s best practice regarding raw materials sourcing
- Competitor information to help a client win a large multi-million pound bid for a government initiative
- Locating specific candidates to fill senior posts in several industries (incl. pharmaceutical and engineering)
- Statistical analysis of data the client had already collected via questionnaires
